The Brewhouse

Open Call For Proposals

The Call

A new chapter is beginning at The Brewhouse with the launch of our gallery space. To mark this, we have an open call for proposals.

We want this space to be alive with diverse voices, practices, and stories. Artists at any stage of their career are invited to submit exhibition proposals. Whether your work is experimental, community-driven, or simply something you’re burning to share, we want to hear from you.

Selected proposals will be part of our upcoming exhibition season, giving artists the chance to present their work in a professional setting and connect with our growing audience.

  1. Follow-up: shortlisted artists receive a studio-visit or video-call invitation.

  2. Decision: formal offer and consignment contract sent via email.

  2. Statement – concept & medium (max 150 words)

Combine any PDFs into one file under 20 MB. Use the Typeform provided.

How are proposals evaluated?

Alignment with our current curatorial focus

  • Feasibility within our exhibition space & resources

  • Artistic merit and originality

  • Potential to engage our audience and collector base

Insurance & liability

The venue is equipped with CCTV and staffed invigilators; however, artworks remain the artist’s responsibility while on site. Specific liability terms are outlined in the contract.

Can I propose a project-specific event (talk, workshop, performance)?

Yes, describe your concept and technical needs in the “Additional Notes” field; feasibility is discussed during curatorial review. Additional venue-hire or tech costs may apply for complex events.

Your proposal remains on file for 12 months; you can submit updated work after one year if your practice evolves.
